I'm from St. Petersburg. The field definitely chose me, because I never thought that I wanted to become an artist, I didn’t even draw intentionally. Quite by accident, 6 years ago I took a painting course, and things started happening. The teacher from there advised me to continue and take a course in academic drawing, and I lost my head from the atmosphere that I felt there.
I regularly practice quick sketches, the essence of which is to capture and convey the sharpest and most interesting things that you draw in a few minutes. This greatly trains the ability to look and see, which is important not only for the work of an artist, but also for life in general. It seems to me that an artist is a prism, he collects some impressions, emotions and refracts it into some other form, which either makes you laugh or scares you, but in any case does not leave you indifferent. If I could not draw, I would not paint.
