Wanting Li is a Chinese artist based between London and China. She received her BFA in Fine Arts from Parsons School of Design, New York, and completed her MA in Painting at the Royal College of Art, London.

Working primarily through painting, Li explores time, memory, and the unseen structures that shape human experience. Her practice unfolds through layering, covering, and accumulation, allowing each work to develop as a record of duration rather than a predetermined image. Drawing from Chinese philosophy, religious thought, and the experience of living across different cultures, she approaches painting as a space where traces of the past continue to coexist with the present.

Her work has been exhibited internationally and continues to investigate how painting can become a site where time is condensed, transformed, and continually reinterpreted.
