Jinjin Li is from China, where she began her journey in the visual arts. During her undergraduate studies, she majored in animation. In her sophomore year, she got her first camera from her father, and she started photographing her friends and fell in love with photography, so she came to SCAD to pursue an MFA in photography to delve into more possibilities of photography.

Her photographic focus centers on encapsulating the essence of the female portrait, striving to unveil the multifaceted layers of femininity and identity. Additionally, she delves into the exploration of female friendships, employing her lens to illuminate the intricacies and innate beauty within these relationships. Through her artistry, she endeavors to elicit emotion and catalyze dialogues surrounding the diverse experiences and narratives of women.
