After receiving her degree in science from the University of Ruhuna, Faculty of Agriculture, in Sri Lanka, she earned a Human Resources MBA from the University of Sikkim Manipal, India, and worked in the banking industry for several years. However, she eventually decided to quit her job to focus on raising her two children and pursuing her passion for art.
Despite the challenges of balancing a family and an artistic career, Avanthi Dileka Lelwala persevered and quickly gained recognition for her work. One of her pieces was even selected for display at the prestigious ART Taipai exhibition.
Avanthi Dileka Lelwala had early exposure to the arts, having taken art as a subject for O-levels. This early foundation, coupled with her inborn creativity, has allowed her to develop a unique style characterized by bold colors, textures, and captivating compositions.
