Nektaria Lampitsi, born 1992, is a Cypriot artist living in Nicosia, Cyprus. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Fine Art from the University of East London and a Master of Fine Art (MFA) in Fine Art from the Slade School of Fine Art, University College London (UCL). She has participated in several exhibitions in the United Kingdom (including "Road to 2012: Facing the East," commissioned by the National Portrait Gallery and BT), Cyprus (notably as an artist-in-residence in the Cyprus Chamber of Fine Arts, 2018), as well as in Greece and the Netherlands ("Call for Drawings" as part of the "Symposium Drawing Conclusions", organised by the MaKHU at BAK, Utrecht, 2015). Nektaria has experimented with several media, especially printmaking, installations and illustrations. She has worked with textiles, using knitting and embroidery techniques in order to create sculptures and large installations. She is currently working on portraits and illustrations. She has executed commissions for illustrating book covers, event posters, logos and promotional material.
