Sundeep Kumar (b. 1992, Islamkot, Pakistan) is a Karachi-based visual artist and educator. He first gained recognition for his paintings of enlarged Pakistani coins, using them as symbols of economy and circulation. In 2025, his practice took a new direction, shifting from representation to material-based experimentation. By chemically extracting residue and patina from obsolete coins, he transforms corrosion into pigments for abstract works that embody fragility, disappearance, and memory.
Kumar earned his Bachelor’s in Fine Arts from the Centre of Excellence in Art and Design, Jamshoro (2015). He is the founder and director of Atelier School of Art and Design in Karachi, where he mentors young artists. His work has been exhibited widely across Pakistan.
