Aarushi Kumar is a Sydney based artist, who perused her Master of Fine Arts from University
of New South Wales in 2018 and is now an accomplished artist having displayed in three
galleries in Sydney in the year 2019. She’s an abstract artist highly influenced by the work of
Mark Rothko. As an artist she works hard to develop artworksthat speak both to her and to
others about the beauty that exist within painting. She merely doesn’t want to capture the
image with the brushes rather with careful colorful strokes she wants to give the society a
sense of depth, intensity and the story within the artwork. Kumar’s work examines grief with
specific reference to her personal life experiences. She demonstrates this transition in her life,
through the mode of painting, the idea behind her work is to convey the emotions and
feelings, yet not discuss it metaphorically. Kumar believes art is truly an expression of
emotion, this project depiction passes on human feelings in all its fineness, from happiness
to grief to depression.
