Eeva Kukkonen is a Finnish visual artist
currently living and working in Trieste.
After graduating from the Academy of Fine Arts
of Bologna in painting in 2009 she has held various solo and group shows in
Italy, Germany, Finland, Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia and Slovenia
Her work evolves from notions on female
experience and lately specifically on motherhood bringing in discussion also
the hardships and taboos around it.
Kukkonen wants to question the womans role in
the society as a passive stand byer and object of definitions wishing to contribute to a new
non-male based narrative on them.
Kukkonen works with painting, drawing,
intstallations and in the past years ever more with embroidery.
