Blanka Křemenová
Visual Artist
Born: October 4, 1985
Czech Republic
Blanka Křemenová is a Czech visual artist working primarily with figurative painting, material experimentation, and psychological introspection. Her practice is rooted in an authorial approach she defines as synecdochical quasi-realism in the sense of pars pro toto, in which fragments, psychological situations, and distorted figurative motifs function as representations of broader existential, social, and cultural structures.
Her work explores themes of memory, identity, fragmentation, childhood, inner isolation, moral constructions, and the instability of perception. Through layering, deformation, symbolic references, and interventions into the material structure of the image, she creates psychologically charged visual situations balancing between personal experience and collective cultural memory.
Křemenová studied at the University of West Bohemia and currently lives and works in the Czech Republic.
