Alina Kostrichenko is a Russian-Ukrainian painter, currently based in Bulgaria. Some of her works she makes in collaboration with her mother, Valentina Murenkova.
Alina has always been interested in naive art, the art of primitive peoples, drawings in medieval manuscripts, as well as the joyful and open colours of the early Renaissance, and in her works, she tries to develop her own style based on a combination and rethinking of these periods and styles of art, while raising difficult social issues. In recent years, she has dedicated her work to the themes of violence, the war in Ukraine, and life in exile. Together with friends, she organized several exhibitions in Germany and the United Kingdom in support of Ukraine and Ukrainian artists.
Alina has studied contemporary art at HSE in Moscow, Russia and at the Ca' Foscari University of Venice, Italy.
