Hello, I’m Kris!
Born in Minsk and currently based in Buenos Aires.
By education, I’m a media and communications specialist - it’s both my degree and a deep part of my identity. By profession, I work as an IT business analyst in the healthcare field - developing projects that support and save lives.
But beyond my career, I’m a passionate traveler and self-taught painter - this is the essence of who I am.
Living in different countries and engaging with people from across the globe has shaped my worldview. I absorb cultures, capture meaningful moments, and translate those impressions into visual stories through photography and painting.
I primarily work with oil on canvas. My artistic focus lies in nature, landscapes, and human portraiture, where I seek to reveal the emotional and symbolic connections between people and the natural world.
While I haven't received formal artistic training, my work is guided by intuition, emotion, and the richness of lived experience.
My latest work - Stillmark - submitted for the Arte Laguna Prize, was created during a deeply transformative time: the pregnancy and birth of my daughter, Kiara.
This painting accompanied me through those nine months and was completed shortly after her arrival, the piece draws inspiration from the Seceda mountain in Italy - a place I visited over a decade ago, but that has remained vivid in my memory.
It represents not only a personal milestone but a symbolic offering - my first submission to an international art competition.
I’m deeply grateful for the chance to share this part of my journey, and excited by the opportunity to connect with others through the universal language of art. Through Stillmark, I hope to share the quiet strength of motherhood and the spiritual energy of nature - both of which shaped this painting.
