Contemporary Painter.
Koromvokis approaches painting as a state of moving presence, where light and colour function as primary structural elements. Her work explores the emergence of form from the field, rather than its construction, allowing the image to unfold through sustained, high-intensity sessions.
Her practice operates within a dual structure: the long-term, multi-layered InterFaded series and the single-session Blue Response method, where immediacy and control coexist within a single temporal frame.
Koromvokis’ engagement with painting began in early childhood within a family environment of professional artistic practice. From the age of five, she was immersed in traditional materials and painterly processes, developing an intuitive and technical relationship with oil paint long before formal education typically begins. This early, non-institutional formation shaped a deep material sensitivity and a disciplined approach to the paint surface.
Alongside her lifelong painting practice, she established a career in design, collaborating with international fashion houses. This experience refined her sense of composition, rhythm, and visual structure, which now informs her painting as an expanded visual language rather than a separate discipline.
Since 2024, Koromvokis has been living and working in Greece, where her work is influenced by the coastal light and spatial openness of the Attica region.
