Tomasz Klimczyk was born in 1967 in Krakow. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow, Faculty of Graphics, where he obtained a diploma in the lithography studio under the supervision of prof. Roman Żygulski in 1994.
He studied painting in the studio of prof. Zbysław Maciejewski. In 1994, he received a distinction in the national competition "Landscape in contemporary painting". In 2003 and 2009, he was awarded in the national competition "Triennial with still life". He took part in over 100 collective exhibitions
in Poland, the USA, Croatia, the Czech Republic, France, the Netherlands, Germany, England,
Japan. Author of 41 individual exhibitions. Participant of many painting plein-airs and symposia in Poland and abroad, including France, Greece, Germany, Slovenia, India, Nepal, Tibet. His works can be found in private collections in Poland and abroad, including the painting collection of the city of Arras in France, Tilburg in the Netherlands, Georg von Opel in Eschborn in Germany and the Miyauchy Foundation in Tokyo, Japan. In 2019, he received a grant from the Pollock-Krasner Foundation in New York.
