Hamza Kırbaş (1992,
Batman) He graduated from Batman University Faculty of Fine Arts Painting
Department in 2017. He continued his education at Silesia University Faculty of
Fine Arts, Graphic Design Department in 2014/2015. He graduated master from
Hacettepe University Fine Arts Institute in 2020.
In my works, I offer
concepts and analyses to the audience; I aim for viewers to understand, solve
and complete them with their own thoughts. My works consist of hybrid
structures that use past and present images together.
The artist uses
mediums such as video installation, sound installation, interactive installations,
sculpture, data visualization, space-oriented 3D animation in versatile art
practice. His work is shaped around socio-political concepts such as space,
public space, identity, gender, and migration.
His works; especially in Turkey; It was exhibited in many international exhibitions, festivals, and
biennials in England, New York, Baja California, Colombia, Malta, Hungary,
Brazil, Poland, France, Germany, Spain, Finland, China, Ecuador, Greece, and Italy.
In 2018, he was
nominated from Turkey for the ''by Warsteiner Blooom Award'' in Düsseldorf, GER. In
2019, he received the Critics Award from the ''Venice lands Art Prize'' in Venice, It. In 2020, Akbank 38. Contemporary Artist Prize, achievement prize, Istanbul. In 2020, İstanbul Rotary Art Prize, achievement prize, İstanbul.
