WHO AM I?
A VOYAGER OR AN ARTIST?
AS A VOYAGER?
I'm an architect, but throughout my last 50 years’ I paint for enrichment of my soul, searching and experiencing the life, or for completion of my architectural projects, mostly by the clients order.
But whatever I paint was a virtual voyage to the other side of the mirror,
“where the true color could be found”.
AS AN ARTIST? .
I became an emerged artist in 2019 at the age of 72, when my body broken in multiple parts, almost handicapped for more than a year due to an incident. Then I decided to change my life and dedicate rest of my life to painting.
As the result, the SYMBOLIC & SURREALISTIC series evolved a new vision to reveal the true color of reality:
The MASKS series is the symbolic expression of the reality and illusion’s twilight in the multi-faceted universe:
WHATEVER ONE’S PERCEIVE IS JUST A REFLECTION OF ONE’S MIND, THE REALITY IS SOMEHOW MASKED BEHIND MASK.
MY STORY
1946- I was born in Tehran, Iran
1970- graduated from Tehran University of Art as an architect.
1970- École Supérieure Des Arts, My painting master was distinguished professor, late Ivan Gérard (Frenchman) the professor of Paris Fine Art (École Des Beaux Arts).
My master’s mystical tendencies drew him to Astrology art and spiritualism painting, which was opened my eyes to the profound dimensions of art, particularly painting and shaped my artistic vision and spiritual content of surrealism, abstraction and the minimalism assay.
1971-1979: I won my first grand project just one year after graduation, which was a successful starting point for chain of sizable projects for decades. During the period which I have developed concept of “integrated high quality living space”, integration of architecture, interior and art/painting as a package, based on “purism manifest”: Originality of form and function, emphasizing in simplicity, harmony and using art (painting / frescos / bas-relief) as the center piece of every organic design.
1974, I established my first gallery/permanent solo exhibition (purism art & life style): Atelier/Gallery INTERNAL-Tehran.
1979-1984: I established my second gallery/permanent solo exhibition (Chinese mystical paintings influence): Atelier/Gallery 1773, Valiasr street, Tehran-Iran.
1984-1990 PARIS, the Chinese mystical paintings was my inspiration to create series of surrealist artworks, as well as Art-Deco style influence for completion of my projects with bas-relief.
1990-2000 Dubai, ink/Sepia paintings, influenced by mountain and desert trips to Khorfekhan’s desert.
During 10 year stay in Dubai, my Sepia paintings represent energy’s flow on the sand dunes & rocks, creating yellow blanket, was my inspiration to paint “PLEIN YELLOW” series.
2000-2016 Monaco: I made several Mediterranean Sea voyage each year that deeply inspired me by the power of silence in the Plein Blue, believing the science that life is originated from the oceans and developed on earth. This was my inspiration to create EMERGENCE / OBSERVER series of fine art prints on aluminium artworks which I managed yearly private viewing in Monaco.
2016 till present: voyage around the world, studies on texture of leaves, branches & anatomy of insects, which are in fact the pattern of the nature's expansion or life’s development structure. Then I made LEAVES & BRANCHES TEXTURES series.
Art-Deco series was my inspiration by the anatomy of insects’ body parts , blended with the stylish & rich flavor of the Art-Deco esthetic's:

AUTUMN 2019, had an incident and confined to a wheelchair for more than a year. Then I resumed full time painting seriously 15/7, evolving the masks series, the Gatekeeper, the warriors, angels, Altworld series and Abstract series, Art-deco series... over 150 artworks up to now.
AUTUMN 2021- solo exhibition / 50th anniversary of my artworks review at NILOO Hotel Museum, Tehran,
with 31 artworks: Abstracts, surrealist, leaves & branches texture compositions and Art-Deco-Bugs series.
