Was born on November 10,
1978 in Moscow.
From childhood he lived in
a creative environment. Great-grandfather, Ivan Ketov, was an architect.
Grandfather, Alexey Ketov was a famous artist. Anton spent all his childhood in
his workshops, his grandfather taught him the basics of painting.
In 1999 he graduated from
the B. Shchukin Theater Institute, in 2003 - from the All-Russian State
Institute of Cinematography named after S.A. Gerasimova (VGIK).
In 1995-1999 worked in
theatrical workshops, which had a strong influence on further creative
activity.
Worldview was shaped under the impression of social science fiction. In many ways, work was influenced by the architecture of the 1920s - 1980s.
Everything Anton does, he takes as an experiment - he experiments with material, form, color, studies their properties, changes techniques and plots. In this he sees true creativity and freedom of expression. He is equally interested in creating artworks on canvas, plywood or wood objects.
Personal exhibitions were
held in Russia, France and in the Republic of Belarus.
Participant of many group
exhibitions, including exhibitions in France, Italy, Spain, China, Belgium,
Sweden, Greece, Cyprus, Russia and the Republic of Belarus.
In 2013 he designed the
exposition of the exhibition of the Museum of the Silver Age (Moscow). In
2017-2019 reconstructed historical exhibits for the exhibitions
"Ladovsky's Experiment", "Towns of Sverdlovsk",
"Gastev. How to work”, “Crystallography of Malevich and Leonidov” (Gallery
“On Shabolovka”, Moscow), designed the museum exposition of the Avant-garde
Museum on Shabolovka (Moscow).
Anton Ketov's works are held
in galleries and private collections in Russia, the USA, France, Sweden,
Belgium, Greece, Israel, China, the United Arab Emirates, as well as in the
collections of the National Center for Contemporary Arts of the Republic of
Belarus and Russian regional museums.
