Margarita Kerimova-Sokolova was born in Baku.
Received her art education in the USSR - Krasnodar and St. Petersburg.
The first exhibition was held in Baku in Further group and solo exhibitions followed. Becomes a member of the Union of Artists of the USSR and the Azerbaijan SSR
Active creative work continues and in 1988 the first trip to Germany at the invitation of the famous collector Peter Ludwig to the opening of his Museum.
Then follow several creative trips to Germany and in 1995 - moving to Cologne for permanent residence.

In 2020, Kerimova-Sokolova Margarita becomes an academician, a full member of the World Academy of Arts "New Era".

July 2024 - awarded the prestigious Silver Medal and an honorary diploma - by the French Academic Society ASL (Art -Science - Lettres) Paris.
