Kellerman

EJ Kellerman (b. 1977) is based in North Carolina, US. She was raised in Kentucky where she studied painting and anthropology at the University of Louisville. During her childhood she often explored the outdoor spaces around her as a refuge. Her parents encouraged her curiosity in the natural world, a gift the still drives her in her work. She lived in California where she worked a scenic artist in various Bay area theatres such as Berkeley Repertory Theatre. She maintained a painting studio in Oakland making colorful paintings about Flora.

From 2007 to 2022 she worked in healthcare and as a healthcare content writer for an e-learning SAAS company. In 2023 she redirected her focus to painting and has since studied at the New York Studio School and with several notable painting instructors such as Fran O’Neill, Jill Carver, and Tim Horn.
