Read MoreAsia Kartash (known by her full name Anastasia Kartashkova) is a floral impressionist artist who brought her talent and creativity to Croatia three years ago. Born in Moscow, Asia is a philologist by training, educated at the prestigious Lomonosov Moscow State University. After years she devoted herself to her true passion—painting, which had until then been only a hobby. Initially, she worked independently under the mentorship of the renowned professor Igor Soldatenkov from the Surikov Moscow Art Academy.
Her artistic career gained significant momentum when a friend in Russia showed her works to the President of the Russian Artists’ Union. Impressed by her harmony and talent, he invited her to become a member of the society. Asia accepted the invitation and became a member in 2021. Soon after, she successfully organized two solo exhibitions of her works.
Unfortunately, by 2022, it became clear that Asia needed new challenges and wanted to explore a different environment. Upon moving to Croatia, her perspective on the world changed, and she found inspiration in new colors and motifs. Her paintings have become diverse, ranging from floral themes to landscapes of Gorski Kotar and seascapes.
Asia is currently in the process of joining the Croatian Association of Artists (HDLU) and eagerly anticipates becoming an active part of the Croatian art scene.
