After studying International Business and Strategic Management at the German University in Cairo, award winning designer, Shosha Kamal started her career as a marketer in Unilever, one of the world top FMCGs companies. Years later she couldn’t fight her passion in design anymore, and decided to start off her career in design from the world’s design capital, Italy. She studied design at Florence Design Academy, and came back to Cairo to start up her Psychology Based Design Company. With her marketing experience, strategic and business exposure, and design expertise, Shosha Kamal became one of the recognizable names in the Design field in the World
Very early in her career, her work has been recognized globally. Her famous Wing Sofa was named the best sofa design worldwide for the year 2016 by the prestigious International Product Design Awards, London UK. She was shortlisted by the same award for her Scarab Chair among the best 5 chair designs in the year 2017. She was named an A’ Design Award Winner three consecutive times for the years 2014, 2015, and 2016, Milano, Italy. She was named by the same entity in the year 2016 as a “Design Hero” for her efforts in making the world a better place through good design. She was nominated by the Society of British Interior Designers for the Best Designs of the World in 2013 at London, UK. In the year 2017, her continuous efforts in reviving the Ancient Egyptian great heritage across all design disciplines were recognized by his Excellency the President of Egypt, Mr. Abdelfattah El Sisi in the Youth Conference, Alexandria, Egypt. She also worked on redesigning the Etihadeya Presidency Palace by introducing a complete design philosophy that will reflect the Egyptian identity.
In 2013, Shosha founded the field “Fundraising Design”, a new design discipline aiming at helping NGOs and humanitarian entities fundraise donations. Since then, her company has been helping many entities raise donations through good design. She continuous to add to the design world in the fields of Interior Design, Exterior Design, Product Design, Public Design, Green Design, and Fundraising Design.. Regardless of the nature of every project she works on, her ultimate goal is using design in favor of humanity..
