Joshua Nijiati Alimujiang is a multidisciplinary artist-researcher and currently pursuing a Master of Philosophy in Computational Media and Arts at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou). With a background in architectural design and structural engineering, Joshua explores the intersection of art, technology, and sustainability. He has been a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers since 2021 and the Chartered Institute of Building since 2022. Serving in the Diversity and Equal Opportunities Committee at HKUST(GZ), Joshua has been participating in the community’s sustainable development since 2023. His focus on practice-based research involves art critique and philosophy study, and previous works were exhibited or presented in the United States, Austria, Singapore, Japan, etc.
