« Through drawings, installation and performances, I shape my universe with questions concerning the visible and invisible border and the displacement of identity. I am indeed interested in all the barriers - notions and forms - inherited or erected by our preconceived ideas. I create through these childish or monster-inhabited scenes a poetic, political and critical escape, far from normative identity designations. The home, household objects, furniture, and clothes detach from their functionality and become dreamlike, light and at times unnerving. A familiar and protective space becomes an unstable, fragile and ghostly space. In my work, the house or the room is not only a building or a living space, but also the symbol of boundaries on a smaller scale. These are spaces that reflect individual or social identity, psychological space and more. My performances and installations are metaphors for questioning the notion of the border with multiple dimensions: individual, social, emotional, spatial. From the angle of reverie or detournement, my performances are metaphors of the difficulties of identity confronted with the societal pressures and "inner systems" created by societies and globalization. The fragile, unstable, light materials that I use for my performance and installation remind us of the fragility and uncertainty of everyday life and all we believe and try to keep or fear to see disappearing. The disquieting appearance is rooted in the confusion of everyday values, highlighting all the moments of existence that can mislead us about truths as well as lies. My drawings and paintings of the landscape and the plants are such an allegory, allowing me to express a feeling of concern and strangeness while reflecting my deep anxieties behind an appearance of calm and appeasement. They invite reverie where illusion meets reality. I create poetic spaces that subvert their own simplicity and seek to uncover the disquieting layers beneath the exterior of our daily lives.»
