My practice begins with the collection, cataloging, and transformation of industrial waste found on the beaches of Puerto Colombia. Through these residual fragments, I explore the material traces of the Anthropocene and its impact on the Caribbean landscape. My work functions as a form of contemporary archaeology: it rescues what has been discarded to reframe its symbolic and aesthetic value. The act of transforming waste into art becomes a critical gesture against consumerism, but also a search for new narratives from what is fragmented. I explore the tension between nature, artifice, and memory through a poetics of the residual.
