Jauss & Gauger have known each other and have worked together as an artist duo since 1993. They paint simultaneously and on the same artwork. The distinct styles and expressions of each of the artists come together in the work of art: during the process of painting, until suddenly a new and homogenous style emerges. They work mostly on collages of textiles, and in a variety of paint media, such as acrylics, oils, pigments, varnishes and more.
