JUSTYNA JAN-KRUKOWSKA (Justyna Janiszewska-Krukowska)
Is an artist and psycho-somato therapist who explores the body, voice and object in the domain of performance art. She has MFA in painting (1989) in the studio of prof.Józef Hałas at Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw, Poland. Jan-Krukowska is a graduate of École Européenne de Psychothérapie Socio et Somato Analytique / EEPSSA (2007) in Strasbourg, France. In 1995-1999 she studied the personal potential of the body and voice under the direction of Ryszard Nieoczym, an intern and an associate of Jerzy Grotowski. In 1999 she practiced working with the body and the environment with Min Tanaka, a prominent Japanese avant-garde artist, at Body Weather Farm in Hakushu, Japan.
On the map of her artistic travels, India has a special place, which it has visited regularly since 2014.
She is the founder of JUSTBODYLAB. It is a lab of work on cognizance of the body and its relationship with environment, whose activities draws inspiration from the ancient and forgotten sources of performance art.
