Joanna Jamrozińska was born in 1992 in Syców in the Lower Silesia region of Poland. In the years 2008-2012 she attended the Art School Complex of Stanisław Kopystyński in Wrocław, graduating in Graphics. In the years 2012-2017 she studied Painting at the Faculty of Painting and Sculpture at the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Fine Art and Design and graduated with a Master of Fine Arts degree. During that period, she won the Our Place competition for the arrangement of the ASP (AFAD) WRO cafe space organized by the University together with the Architectural Painting and Art in Public Space studio. The design of the wall painting covering the entire facility was completed, today students and employees meet in the interior visualized by the author. In 2014, she was awarded in the Wrocław competition for a mural commemorating the 100th anniversary of Will Brandt’s birthday. In 2016, she received an honorary distinction in the painting competition for the Grand Prix of the Franciszka Eibish Foundation, regularly organized by Galeria Katarzyna Napiórkowska. In 2017, she won the Hestia Artistic Journey competition, applying for a trip to New York or Valencia. At the same time, in the project Let's meet, two of her ceramic works were embedded in the wall of the Wrocław underground passage at Dominikański Square. She was shortlisted to represent the Painting field of study in the MY'17-Best Diplomas of the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław. Her works were included in the accompanying catalogue. She received a scholarship from the Mayor of Wrocław. Since October 2017, she has been working as an assistant and tutor at the Academy of Fine Arts. Eugeniusz Geppert, in the 6th Easel Painting Studio of Professor Norman Smużniak, previously run by Andrzej Klimczak Dobrzaniecki and Eugeniusz Geppert. She has taken part in over 40 exhibitions organized in Poland, Ukraine and Germany.
