Nathalie
Jacquounain was born and raised in Soviet Russia, in Saint
Petersburg. She started studying serious art at the age of 10, then
at the National Academy of Fine Arts. In 1973 she graduated from the
National Academy of Theatre and Cinematography as a stage designer.
Driven by a strong sense of belonging to the European artistic
tradition, she moved to France, to Paris in 1980, where she worked
for a year in the studio of the artist Yankel (son of Kikoine - one
of the emblematic artists of the Montparnasse school) at the École
Nationale Supérieure des Beaux Arts de Paris, and then studied at
the University of Paris 7 Jussieu and obtained a post-graduate
diploma in communication.
Jacquounain
has published several articles on art theory in a magazine "Schéma
et schématisation".
She
has created on commission a decorative mosaic fresco 2m x 12m on the
theme of ecology in the public space in Créteil and a sculpture 1m50
high on the theme of diversity for the Cultural Center in Créteil.
Jacquounain
has had 14 personal exhibitions (11 in France) and has participated
in numerous group exhibitions and fairs.
She
presents the paintings of the collection META-ECOLOGIE.

I am an artist with varied interests. I love modernity and am completely in tune with it.
