She graduated from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where she developed a cross-disciplinary practice spanning sculpture, painting, and installation.Her work explores aquatic ecosystems, focusing on the fragile relationships between natural environments and human activity. Drawing from both marine and freshwater contexts, she addresses ecological, social, and political dimensions of environmental change through a visual language that is both poetic and research-driven. Jacob’s practice is rooted in material exploration and site-specificity. She often works with reclaimed and recycled materials, integrating their histories and environmental implications into her installations. By placing works in public and non-traditional spaces, she seeks to expand access to art and foster dialogue around environmental awareness and collective responsibility.
Her work has been exhibited internationally across Europe, Asia, Australasia, and the United States. She participated in Sculpture by the Sea in Perth and Sydney, Australia in 2023, and in the Saint-Gervais Biennale Archipel Art Contemporain, France in 2024. In 2025, she took part in a group exhibition in Hong Kong as part of “Le French May” Arts Festival. In 2026, she is presenting two public installations at Örebro Art Biennial OPENART in Sweden, Scandinavia’s largest contemporary Art Biennial. Her work is also installed permanently in Portugal (Azores Islands),France, Thailand, and the Philippines.
