Jackiewicz-Kaczmarek

Painting studies in Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk at the Faculty of Painting, Graphic Arts and Sculpture, major painting. She defended her MA in 1979. Full Professor. She runs her own Intaglio Workshop at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk. Her fields of artistic creation are printmaking, drawing, painting, and photography of nature. Her works have been presented in 41 solo exhibitions and more than 140 group exhibitions in Poland, Germany, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, France, Spain, Portugal, Monaco, the Netherlands,  Japan, Korea, Canada, USA. Laureate of 35 awards and distinctions at local, national, and international exhibitions and competitions. Four-time holder of the scholarship of the Ministry of Culture and Art. Jury member of many printmaking competitions. Her graphic works are to be found in museums in Poland, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Germany, Slovakia, Netherlands, Portugal, France, Vatican, Italy, Japan, the USA, Canada, and in private collections.

Nature, undisturbed by human activity, is an important topic of my works. My graphic works are the results of inspiration coming from sailing and traveling. Nature is constantly the main theme of my works, in which I show the magic and beauty of the natural world. Throughout the period of my artistic work, the scene of extensive coasts, mountain ranges, fjords, Arctic glaciers, and mysterious islands return in my compositions.
