Born in 1987 in Sofia, Bulgaria, my experiences have allowed me to pursue an artistic path alongside studies in language and literature. Both fields, in which I have always been immersed, question language and expression. It was initially drawing and then the hybridization of techniques that led me to explore various pictorial forms, culminating in a performance on sound and painting, to rhythm the creative process and interact with the external world.
My research calls upon the psyche and seeks to involuntarily capture the collective unconscious space, much like the interlines of a text, offering shapes to the voids, or at least representing those moments where the gesture is an imprint of time. The perception of space and forms through materiality questions the expression of the unconscious. Thus, the canvases are like fragments that aim to connect the physical and perception.
My role in the creative process allows the materials to guide me in unintended directions. Atmospheres emerge gradually without corrections, striving to establish a free dialogue between the expanse of my own body and the body of space, of natural elements. Like snapshots, these pieces that escape outward aim to include the viewer, inviting them to wander within the atmosphere they see, to appropriate it, and to extend a sensory invitation at the edge of their own space, to better perceive their belonging to a common space.
