Her work also explores the boundary betweenthe body and the will.Combining traditional Chinese paper with industrial materials, Huangapproaches paper as a metaphor for skin and flesh, while resin, metal,adhesives, and other industrial materials form the skeletal framework of thecontemporary body. Through the interaction between organic and artificialmedia, she explores new possibilities for traditional Chinese paper and ink-basedpractices within a contemporary context, while reflecting on the fragile yetinterdependent relationships between nature and the artificial, and between theindividual and the collective.Inspired by long-term observations of insects, plants, and microscopic forms oflife, Huang transforms processes of growth, decomposition, and regenerationinto her visual language. She understands the flowing ink, textures, and detailsformed on paper as traces of microscopic life in continuous emergence,aggregation, and dissolution. In her practice, paper is not merely a material, butalso a medium that carries memory, identity, and cultural transmission,continuously recording, compressing, and translating information across time.Huang received her BA in Painting from the Florence Academy of Fine Arts. Herrecent exhibitions in China and Italy include the 18th Shanghai Youth ArtExhibition (Liu Haisu Art Museum, Shanghai, 2025), Blave (LdM Gallery,Florence, 2025), Tracce Contemporanee (Palazzo Malaspina, San Donato inPoggio, 2025), and Out of the Body Box (Museo Castromediano, Lecce, 2025).
