Peng Po-Hsun / Hsunart – Healing Artist
Peng Po-Hsun has worked in the visual arts industry for over 20 years. Throughout his career, he has worn many hats: sometimes as a director, sometimes as a cinematographer, and other times as an editor.
He consciously began painting in February 2019. Having long served as the official photographer for contemporary Japanese artist Miwa Komatsu, he was deeply inspired by the energy of artistic creation on set. Since then, he has produced more than 2,700 artworks, with over 930 pieces collected.
Nearly always immersed in his canvas, he is known for creating healing atmospheres through densely layered compositions of colors, shapes, and dots.
Internationally renowned fashion designer Justin Ko Yu-Wen has described his style as "densely colorful impressionism." Ko is also one of Peng's major collectors and collaborated with him for the 2021 London Fashion Week Spring/Summer collection, integrating Peng's paintings and tools as prints in a fashion line titled The Painters.
As an artist with a sharp eye for color and an instinct for combining hues, Peng embraces the mission:
“To create one painting a day to heal myself, and to heal others.”
He hopes his love-filled artworks can enter every home, making art accessible and collectible by the general public.
