Patrick Hromas received his B.A. (Visual) from the ANU School of Art & Design, 1996. He participated in student exchange program: ENSBA, Paris, France for 5 months, in 1995. In 2022, his paintings were shown in The Holy Art Gallery “ETERNITY” UK. As an art practitioner, he recycles paint / other consumables, often using found papers & uses solar power for his studio. He loves to use Photoshop to comprise intricate compositions, including: actors, family members or found figures and array them within colonially significant sites in his home city, surrounded by a national park: the Blue Mountains. He then paints them using the grisalle technique in oil paints. In 2023 two of my art diaries were added to the Petr Herel, Graphic Investigation Workshop at the Menzies Building of the Australian University Library, Acton ACT. On the 11th of November 2020, I was interviewed about my art making practice by Toni Lontis on Radio Toni/Toni TV. In addition, amongst other online publications, I was quoted in: Archibald Prize Comes to a Close for Art Gallery of NSW Head Packer Steve Peters, The Sydney Morning Herald, on the 5th of July, 2017.
