Elena Ho is a Chilean artist who studied graphic design and began her career as an illustrator. Both disciplines have influenced her current work, which explores the intersection of graphic and figurative studies to uncover deeper meanings.
Her art is characterized by evocative atmospheres and ephemeral sensations derived from figurative imagery. Driven by a pursuit of beauty, Elena creates from instinct, crafting objects and images that gain significance through sensory experience.
Seeking a dialogue between representation and abstraction, Elena's work currently focuses on nostalgic depictions of warmth and leisure. Through painting, ceramics, textiles, and other manual techniques, she captures and reinterprets scenes, objects, and forms that evoke emotions.
Recently, Elena completed an artistic residency at Cobertizo (Mexico) and participated in the 2022 RARO residency (Buenos Aires, Argentina), contributing to the collective exhibition "Things that Find You." In Chile, she has exhibited solo at GalerĂa NAC ("Reflection in Two Dimensions") and GalerĂa Clandestina ("When Flowers Fall"), as well as participating in numerous group exhibitions.
As an illustrator, Elena has collaborated with brands such as Metro de Santiago, Banco Santander, Levi's, and Netflix, while also developing personal projects.
