Originally
trained as an architect, I locate my work at the interface between
art and architecture by creating documentary photographic images of
places, spaces and buildings. I tackle topics between urban space,
the development of my home town Berlin and the process of building in
general. In doing so, I aim to draw attention to how we create our
built environment and how it in turn affects us.
A
key feature of my work is that I do not dramatize, neither negatively
nor positively, I just document. Thus not so much concerned with
beauty, I am rather in the habit of analytically yet humorously
taking a closer look at the complex world of building. In the
process, the detail is always just as important as the whole.
