I´m an architect and artist specialized in exhibit design. I studied architecture at Finisterrae University in Santiago, Chile as well as at the studio of the sculptor Javier Stitchkin, where I learned several pictorial techniques. I started my professional career in Italy in parallel to my Master’s degree studies in “Idea in Exhibition Design, Architecture of Exhibiting” in the technical office of the Triennale di Milano in the “Arts and Foods” period and the XXI Triennale “Design after Design”. I have taken part as professor at the “Exhibition Design in Urban Spaces” workshop in Politecnico di Milano, and worked as an architect at Benfenati Allestimenti.
Among the shows that I have taken part in: “Books and Foods” 2015 at La Triennale di Milano 2015, the group show “Works on paper dal 1900 ad oggi”, SPAZIO 22, Milan 2016. The exhibition “IDEA, ESPORRE,ALLESTIRE,MOSTRARE” at La Triennale di Milano in June 2017, the Exhibition “When Landscape becomes a Memory”, at SPAZIO 22, october 2017, Exhibition TWO/2, Spazio Speciale, VR Project Room, june 2018, Palermo, the Installation Trespass ,Residency Castello di Lajone, August 2018. Exhibition “Moved”, at Galleria Montrasio Arte, Monza, 2018.My exhibition training led me to develop an interest in the idea of designing the Space as an oneiric metaphor of the endless interconnections between the sky and the earth, recreating these dynamics of tension in a counter-landscape of modify reality. In the last years I created several site specific installations as well as a series of pencil and ink drawings on Japanese paper that display reflections around the elemental geometric figure of the triangle – a symbolic and abstract transposition of the mountain - which is increasingly multiplied into a system of repetition that aims to symbolize an enormous network of my most incalculable obsession to infinity and chaos. I Challenge myself and the audience to get lost in the drawings as well as in my installations, confronting my views on boundaries, frontiers and memory. My strong interest in the forces of nature has led me to search for a myth and to represent a present world in constant transformation. It is the celebration of a direct exchange between the world above and the earthly world, the force that keeps us in constant connection, the idea of drawing in space, the idea of printing those invisible particles of infinite connections from which we can no longer escape. The representation of a series of images through membranes or threads of living tissue that act as umbilical cords or triangular antennas supported as lightly as a pentagram in a paper follicle, gives rise to a new layer or what I like to call an Artificial counter-landscape.The space thus designed or represented in an open installation becomes a transparent border that invites the visitor to find a unique experience when is preparing to cross this garden of the mind, to feel the amplification of senses as if it were a hypnoses that makes you feel isolated in a state of silence and reflection. My personal Utopia tries to reflect on the gap that exists between two realities that work as mirrors between them, to feel the distance of things, to question how our actions affect the other person, how a living tissue or a network of natural and artificial connections may be able to reconstruct the memory and its distance in the landscape of our minds, to weave the vertical fabric of the invisible sensory path of the potential and psychic territory in order to give value to the air that we live and breathe. There is a poetic vision in creating levels of different harmonies that respond to how nature and humans order things. By means of new utopias or ephemeral civilizations represented as painting or open space installations, I try to conquer the air without building, the distance without origin. I experiment with micro-interventions in the territory that seek to be thresholds between two worlds capable of generating a transversal language between these two realities to fill an invisible void and thus give space to new types of habitability.I’m in the process of building a new surface of experience that creates dynamic and spiritual situations of tensions represented in the urban mass. The accumulation and repetition of rhythms, forces, connections mix together to create an imaginary landscape, a big membrane of violence that moves, breathes and never sleep.I’m fascinated in explore how the tensions in cities evolve and disappears physically, and very difficult to trace mentally, perhaps is a new language of algorithms worth to consider as an anti monument of the contemporary age. My future installations seeks to enhance the dichotomy of fullness and emptiness, of high and low as if it were a lyrical and euphoric dance, an atmosphere that breathes at the same time of what is happening outside, disobedient of ancestral rules that only the fragile landscape of our horizontal mind can counteract
