Anton Hasler is a Swiss artist who has developed his own pictorial language through central themes such as antiquity and symbolism. In his works, where everyday objects as well as mythological characters are found, we discover anachronistic scenes where temporality and space are altered to the benefit of an exotic dimension.
By retranscribing the intimate representations of his psyche, Anton Hasler produces a subtle mixture of genres, associating both his dreamlike visions and symbols anchored in our collective unconscious. Varying mediums such as painting, drawing, ceramics and engraving, he never ceases to seek escape while developing his personal universe. Creating is above all a way for him to reintegrate a form of sacredness into his life while inviting his viewers to travel, to contemplate, but also to become truly aware of the major issues of our time.
