Han Feng (*1972 in Harbin) lives and works recently in Berlin and Shanghai as painting and installation artist. His artworks explore to use paintings or installations to reproduce the traces of different characteristics of utensils. These traces reveal what is the guide in the process of cognizing things in order to promote continuous evolution. He try to create various imaginary spaces that contain more different sets of cognition to approach the Truth.
Han Feng won the first prize of “1st John Moores Painting Prize (China)” 2010. Because of this award his works participated in the exhibition of John Moores Painting Prize (UK) in the Liverpool Walker gallery. Afterwards his works were shown at the 3rd Biennial “the End of the World” in Ushuaia, Argentina. And Han Feng had held his first solo exhibition overseas in 2012 at CCCA Manchester. And then he took part in the exhibitions “Paper” in Saatchi Gallery in Britain and „Awakening-Where are we standing? Earth, Memory, and Resurrection“ Aichi Triennial in Japan with his major works of in 2013. In the year 2015 Han participated in the exhibitions of CHINA 8 – Chinese Contemporary Art Exhibition in the Rhine Ruhr Area which was found in Lembruck Museum of Duisburg in Germany.
