A passionate young artist driven by enthusiasm and adventure;
I would rather sum up my life as being a " survivor by default, warrior by
choice " !
For the past eight years, I've completed my Master' s degree
in Interior Architecture & Sustainability (Lebanese University, Faculty of
Fine Arts and Architecture). Lucky enough later, winning a full scholarship to
study fashion design (Creative Space Beirut) ; I fulfilled two years of my
academic study where I had the chance to display my designs in Kuwait (Boutique
4) and other local exhibitions.
Being a social activist in a society layered with the burden
of insecurities, lacking delight, keeps me bouncing; trying to retain balance
with the weight of my positive influence. Out of my metric understandings, and dialectic
character, all through earned experiences, and life events from a happy child to a
depressed adult; I have survived long journeys, driven by a healthy mind and a fragile body.
Thanks to all that, I learned how to embrace beauty by
respecting the odds. I have pushed myself into challenges, transforming that
into a complete lifestyle -with a sarcastic twist ;)
In my art -which is mostly a reflection of my personal
experiences- I tend to exhaust
possibilities; experimenting with styles, colours, forms, lines, moods, definitions
and gestures; so these actually turn to become the raw models longing to ripen
into a " fruitful something " . By that, provoking the audience to say
something about it, rather than just pausing still; that interactive dialogue
is what really makes difference, as the butterfly - effect initiating storms, I
believe.
So far I have participated in four group art exhibitions in
Lebanon, Beirut;
* Art Creation 2 - by Exhibita ( Hotel Alexandre , Achrafieh,
September 2019)* Gemmayze Festival -by Moltaka Alalwan (Gouraud street/St.
Nicolas stairs, Gemmayze, October 2019)* Independence in our way -by The Lebanese Artists
Association for Painters-Sculptors LAAPS (Martyrs ' Square, Beirut, November 2019)* " October 17,2019 " - by Galerie Janine Rubeiz ( Galerie
Janine Rubeiz , Beirut, December 2019); this group show is in support of the
Lebanese youth, their revolutionary momentum and the outstanding historical
movement occurring in our country.
It’s a bit hard/early for me to sum up all the
scattered puzzles and state “that’s my cause” ! But all in all, painting was as
simple as serendipity, yet the vessel I pour myself into to create the most
sincere and complicated formulas of speech and ability. I want to tell
the story of my curves and line to encourage others,
empower them, and walk the journey of meliorism aside with them.
