Nuala Goodman is an Irish artist who lives in Milan. She draws, paints, makes textiles, exhibits extensively and occasionally curates for the OPW in Ireland.
Over a thirty year period has collaborated with Ettore Sottsass, Fiorucci. Alessi, Swatch, Moroso, Nilufar Gallery, Pellini, Paul Smith, Luisa Via Roma, 10 Corso Como, Biffi and others.
Her solo museum show ‘Gardens’ at Palazzo Fortuny in Venice was several years ago where she was invited to reinterpret Mariano Foruny’s eclectic style in a contemporary way. Avant garde furniture company ‘Moroso’ were the technical sponsors of the exhibition which encompassed furnishing fabrics, clothing, rugs and paintings.
Currently researching and making and exhibiting a series of textile tapestries and collaborating with design auction house ArtemesIn June 2022, she co-founded the FRINGE textile collective of four female artists.
She is Professor of Project Methodology and Textile Design to fashion design students at NABA, ( Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti) in Milan and Rome.
Her work is represented in the permanent collection of the Fortuny Museum,Venice, The Office of Public Works, Newman House and the U2 offices in Dublin as well as in numerous private collections.
