Jorge A. Gómez "Cocké" is a multidisciplinary visual artist whose practice moves fluidly between figuration and abstraction, forging a distinctive visual language at the intersection of the classical and the contemporary. Working across painting, sculpture, murals, and photography, his evolving body of work — spanning series such as *Pegasus*, *Modern Garden*, *The Box of Creation*, *Horses*, *Phantoms of Liberty*, *Cristo Pintor*, and an ongoing exploration of portraiture — excavates the enduring complexities of identity, spiritual transcendence, freedom, and the human condition through symbolic imagery and richly layered materiality.
Over more than three decades of sustained artistic dedication, Cocké's work has traveled across Latin America, North America, and Europe, with participation in over 100 exhibitions. His output reflects a classical sensibility shaped by Renaissance influences, yet animated by a restless, modern energy — in which recurring motifs of the human figure, the sacred, and the untamed challenge the artist toward an unceasing search for expressive perfection.
His institutional trajectory speaks to a career of consistent international recognition. In Colombia, Cocké was honored with a solo exhibition at the American Armies Conference — CEA, Bogotá, a distinction that placed his work within a context of cultural diplomacy and institutional prestige. In Europe, his early work was presented in 2000 in Barcelona, marking a significant moment in his international trajectory and his longstanding membership in the Royal Artistic Circle of Barcelona, one of the Iberian Peninsula's oldest and most distinguished cultural institutions.
His European footprint extends further: a sustained continuous exhibition at Le Musée Gallery, Paris (2000–2002), established his presence in the French capital's cultural landscape, complemented by an exhibition at Art UP Gallery in Nancy, France. His international reach was further cemented with the XL Edison Gallery Anniversary Exhibition in The Hague, Netherlands — a notable milestone within Northern Europe's contemporary art circuit.
In the United States, Cocké's work was represented by Contemporary Art Gallery USA — a Miami-based gallery dedicated to promoting international contemporary artists — at Art Santa Fe, the Affordable Art Fair New York, and Red Dot Miami during Miami Art Week, three of the country's most prominent platforms for collectors and the broader art community. He has also exhibited at Art Expo New York and at Agora Gallery, Manhattan, one of New York City's foremost venues for international contemporary art. In the Principality of Monaco, his work was selected and represented by MONAT Gallery — a Madrid-based contemporary art gallery with international curatorial reach — for presentation at ART3F Monaco, the premier international contemporary art fair held at the prestigious Chapiteau Fontvieille. His works are held in private collections and cultural institutions across multiple continents.
