Barbara Golimowska
I am a versatile artist and a joyful dreamer. I am a landscape architect by education, a graphic designer by profession, and my passion is painting and photography.
In my work, including painting, I look for beauty, goodness and truth.
My representations of the real world come mainly from outdoor work, among trees, water and air. They stop a moment in an image or photo, allowing it to return to that place and space, to feel the warmth, peace and respite associated with it.
The joy of painting is the joy of creating, processing what I see, noticing and bringing out important things here and now. From the beginning of my adventure with painting, I have been interested in the relationship between space and myself, the play of light and shadow tones, the search for balance and contemplation of the world around me. This way I am at home everywhere.
I am also fascinated by crossing boundaries, for example when I paint in an environment where there are other people, most of them unknown to me, and how much I can open up, surrender to the creative process, give and take at the same time... how I find myself in such an existing situation.
I have been a member of the Warsaw Association of Artists WSP since 2014, and the Association of Polish Painters and Graphic Designers ZPAMIG since 2022 and Plener Group at the Warsaw Branch of the Association of Polish Architects since 2023.
In 2023, I joined the Trzy Barwy Malarstwo artistic group, which resulted in a joint exhibition at the Dobre Miasto Catholic Cultural Center.

I take an active part in open-air workshops organized by Renata Szymanowska from the Bielański Cultural Center as a supporter of the artistic group operating there, and in open-air workshops organized by the Warsaw Artists' Association. The fruit of these trips were post-plein-air group exhibitions in BOK, ul. Goldoniego, and in the Palace in Walewice, including:

I took part in the Exhibition of newly admitted members of the Warsaw Artists' Association in December

and in the ZPAMiG exhibition opening membership in the Association, February 2023, at the Warsaw School of Management - School
Wyższa, ul. Siedmiogrodzka 3A in Warsaw.
