Drawing on the landscapes she inhabits, everyday encounters and lived experience, Gladushchenko translates the atmosphere of place rather than depicting it directly. Through fluid gestures, rich colour, textured surfaces and obscured forms, her paintings evoke shifting light, water, vegetation and memory, inviting viewers to slow down, look closely and complete what cannot fully be seen.
Her intuitive process embraces chance, imperfection and materiality. Layers are built, interrupted and partially concealed with expressive oil stick marks, creating works that celebrate the tactile and deeply human qualities of painting in an increasingly digital world.
Committed to creating inclusive works that transcend language and cultural boundaries, Gladushchenko's practice seeks to foster curiosity, connection and a shared sense of place. She regularly exhibits with Day Gallery in the Blue Mountains and has completed large-scale public art commissions across Australia and internationally.
