Giulia Grossmann was born in Paris in 1984.
Giulia Grossmann studied at the École Nationale d'Expression Plastique de Paris-Cergy. She obtained her DNSEP (Diplôme Nationale Supérieur d'Expression) in 2009 and then studied anthropology at the University of Paris Nanterre.

Her film Proxima B was selected for the "Contemporary Talent 2019" award by the François Schneider Foundation.
In 2021 she is laureate of the Agnes B Tara Océan residency and embarked on board the schooner during the scientific mission Microbiomes off the coast of Senegal.
