Negli anni ho sempre coltivato quest’arte per me stesso senza manifestarla apertamente; solo in
L’opera nasce in

I have always
been passionate about photography. The course of study and my profession, of a
scientific imprint, have influenced my works without subtracting inspiration
and originality. The study of the search for light and the different techniques
useful for controlling it lead me to an interesting opening towards photography
that allows me to capture imperceptible and particular emotions. The emotions
told by the images, the search for light in different temporal conditions
encourage the viewer to take an inner journey in search of hidden emotions,
"Each interprets the image as a search for himself". Over the years I
have always cultivated this art for myself without manifesting it openly; only
recently have I begun to appreciate my works in sharing, supported in the
choice by those who have seen originality and freshness. I also love photography
as a territory of confrontation with myself in the continuous search for iconic
potential inscribed in the value of the machine and in the knowledge of its
secrets. This is why in the recent phase of my work the privilege is accorded
to the relationship between dark and light; indeed by choosing the concept of
absence as a preliminary condition for the affirmation of a presence, a light
source that according to the "compositional" idea is used as a pen
for writing on a defined space. Research that sees me engaged, in these times,
in a technique that allows you to "paint" the subject by masterfully
controlling a light source, operating in conditions of total or almost total
darkness, acting on the camera on the exposure times, sensitivity and aperture
of the shutter, exploiting: the reverberations of the lights, illuminating the
subject with one or more light sources and the movement of the camera itself.
In this way, the camera becomes a canvas, brush and colors, necessary to
collect the artistic sign in the work, the result of intention and chance. The
work is born in a few moments by engaging the light in its essence and is
unique and unrepeatable, an image that goes beyond the rational vision of
things, allowing you to harmonize reality and fantasy. To it is added a work of
extracting the contents that enhances the chromatic aspect and gives it spatial
shape, arriving from a normal photograph to a work that expresses all the
artistic content.
