Sicilian, born in Ragusa in 1966.
She lived between Milan (where she graduated) and Rome. Since 2013 she is the
owner of a company that organizes conferences in the medical field.
She started her painter’s carreer
following the Sicilian Master Franco Fratantonio. Movements and harmony are the
most relevant features of her paintings which symbolically represent the
author's interior world and soul. In her paintings there is a message of life
and an invitation to introspection as a path to transformation and rebirth.
Her works, plein of lively and
bright colors, are a dance between eyes and reason. Subjects rappresented seem
to come to life on the canvas.
In her "Dancers" the
search for harmony prevails. In their gaze towards the indefinite there is a
message of hope: "Beauty will save the world".
Like the “Dancers”, her “Fish” also
have a symbolic value. The Shoal of Fish occupies the majority of the space and
creates a whirl of emotions. Even if they have different directions, they all
remain in the same space, in the same “Enclosed Garden” which symbolizes the
Lost Paradise of our interior life.
The Fish, a symbol of good omen as a
bringer of luck and wealth, represents salvation, being an animal that lives
underwater without drowning and that is able to go deep inside the concept of
death while remaining alive.
Her paintings are full of
"moving" silences, tell stories, like frames taken from a film whose
plot is defined by the viewer.
