I was born in 1978 in the province of Bergamo (Italy) where I also keep living since then.
I first started to use cameras in 2009 during a trip to Croatia and for a
longer time I saw photography just as a mean to tell about the journeys
or about family gatherings.
This until 2012, when I discovered the INSTANT PHOTOGRAPHY thanks to
Polaroid the Originals and to the Italian network THE POLAROIDERS.
From that year on, yet sporadically, I started to take advantage from
this photographic medium to develop my own personal vision in form of
single, non repeatable, shoots.
In 2016 i participated to a workshop organised by one of the Italian
masters of photography: Franco Fontana. That workshop disclosed and
enhanced my perception about photography seeing it as a new means of
expression that I needed to know and dominate.
I started searching for my own photographic vision.
By exploring the medium and becoming aware of it,I discovered and
started to develop my own personal style, never stable but constantly
changing, picking up ideas from art movements I love, and using the
square format, which by the form and precision I feel very
representative of myself, almost as seeing my self “IN-SQUARE”.
Nowadays I like to take pictures in a calm way,not everyday. But when I
travel by car, or simply walk along the streets I observe, look, see!
I see the light and feel the colours and pick up what I feel mine. Maybe
it’s a strange way to make photography but this is the way I feel it.
