Irolando Gattorno (1997) has built a solid career deeply connected to emotional exploration. Throughout his career, Gattorno has made the analysis of human emotions his main creative driving force, using his refined technique and firm brushwork as constants in his artistic production. These characteristics have allowed him to develop a pictorial approach that goes beyond mere visual representation, inviting the viewer to immerse themselves in an introspective journey.
Trained in the traditional school of Ramón Jiménez in Santa Clara, Gattorno acquired rigorous training in naturalism, a style he masters masterfully and complements with magical elements. Jiménez's teachings allowed him to develop a meticulous technique that combines precision with creative freedom. Gattorno's firm and energetic hand is evident in each of his works, where reality blends with the dreamlike.
One of the most unique aspects of his work is his ability to invite the audience to explore the threshold of thought. This concept, which permeates much of his artistic output, refers to that liminal space where reason and intuition meet. Gattorno posits that art has the ability to communicate profound truths that cannot be expressed rationally. Therefore, he always seeks to offer a unique and personalized communicative experience for each viewer, where the work of art does not impose itself, but rather engages in dialogue.
Throughout his career, he has participated in various collective and solo exhibitions, establishing himself as a relevant figure in the contemporary art scene. Among his most notable solo exhibitions are "Apuntes" (Notes), held at the Universidad de las Villas Marta Arbreu, "Levitaciones" (Levitations) at the María Porto Gallery in Madrid, and "Longina" at the Pórtico Gallery. He has held more than a dozen group exhibitions, among the most important of which are the DREAMLAND exhibition at the Blacklight Gallery in Valencia, Spain, as well as exhibitions at the David Bardia Gallery.
