I am a multi-disciplinary artist based in Sao Paulo (Brazil), dedicated to a research about the physical flow of the audience inside the exhibition space and the moving body as a fundamental and constituent element of the artwork. The Body, The Light and The Displacement are the focus of my latest projects which puts in dialogue photography, video, performance and installation, and dedicates special attention to choreographic and architectural elements. The majority of my artworks are built on issues provided by the space and the body movements inside it.
I have just finished my master's degree in Visual Poetics at School of Communication and Arts of Sao Paulo University (ECA-USP, 2017). I have also a Bachelor degree in Visual Arts at FAAP (2011), with Post-Graduation in Photography at the same institution (2014). Had a lot of dance studies since very childhood and have a professional career as a contemporary dancer. Recently I’ve dedicated myself to productions that exist between dance field and visual arts. I eventually collaborate on writing critical articles and reviews for the Forum Permanente platform (www.forumpermanente.org/).
In 2014 I received a grant for a Residency fellowship at Cité Internationale des Arts, Paris. In 2016 I was a resident at the 7th Choreographic Coding Lab under the guidance of Scott deLaHunta, program which derives from Motion Bank platform of William Forsythe and proposes a collective investigation of choreographic thinking in multidisciplinary platforms.
In 2017 held the individual exhibition Museum mise-en-scène at Zipper Gallery, and also Vertices/Vectors exhibition at the EdA, both in Sao Paulo (BR). Since 2010, my works have been shown in several group exhibitions, in museums and galleries in Brazil, France (Louvre Museum), and Finland (The Art Laboratory). Some of these works are part of institutional collections such as the MAB (Museu de Arte Brasileira), MAC (Museu de Arte Contemporânea do Paraná) and Biblioteca Panizzi, Italy.
