Carlo Galofaro is born in Turin the 8th July 2000, since he was young heshows a predisposition and bearing for drawing, enrolling in a privateacademy at the age of 11 and attending it for one year.Through the years his main suggestions came from the mountains, a visualconstant in Turin's landscape and one of his main interests brought on firstby scouting and than by doing alpine climbing.After graduating in high school he decides to start oil painting, enrolling atthe Academy of fine arts in Turin, attending it for just one year not findinghimself in its methods. Today he paints and draws also bringing on asecondary photographic project.The themes:In all the forms of art I try to recreate a concept that I called "The Floatig".The Floating is linkable in some aspects with Freud's Unheimliche, that isalso translatable as "unfamiliar". I conceive The Floating as the suspensionof an infinite instant, an esctasy in the void between past and future,scaring and reassuring at the same time, fragile than in need to beimmortalized, faded in the lines than multiform, multicolor but soft andsoffused, easy to watch but requiring much attention to be analyzed.Bringing also ideas of the oriental art, which I am an estimator, I utilyzethe void as a space where the spectator can enter the painting.The choice of the mountains as prevalent subject comes as I said from mylife experiences that more or less all developed around them and is aconstant in my life as art is. Throught mountains i also investigate climatechange that is transforming the Alps, reporting a personal vision of ourworld that a photo can not immortalize.
